I need to Thank CTW and GeneB for contributing to this pleasant moment, where my nephew Hunter shows off his "re"-new Savage 1919. I told him I'd trade for his helping to drag out this year's monster buck!

Great choice for a first rifle. I’m sure he’ll still enjoy it as much when he’s 64 as I do mine.

The rifle looks great! A good deal of your time and effort went into it but judging from the smile on the young mans face it was worth it.

Does he shoot it as good as you do?

I didn’t find my 19 until I was in my 30s but I sure would have liked to have got my hands on one when I was his age.
