Received my FFL and am ready to start taking on a little work. Primarily I want to focus on barrel work, fitting new barrel, seamless muzzle brakes, muzzle threading, cut and crown.

At the present time I do not have a sales tax license so it would be required you send me all parts and I complete the project with the exception of muzzle brakes. As this work will be performed in my home I will have less overhead the prices reflect this.

Rebarrel savage 99 $230, includes fitting the barrel recessed breach and extractor cuts and dovetail for forend hanger. Does not include any feeding work.

Rebarrel Other rifles such as 98 Mauser, Ruger bolt guns, Remington 700, savage 110, and others $140 on rifles that have recoil lug it is recommended to upgrade from the factory to an oversized lug

Rifles with cone breach and extractor cuts will add $40

Muzzle brakes $110 installed including brake if reblue is required $140 including brake.

Thread muzzle $60

Re crown $50

Services to be paid for %50 to begin project %50 at completion. Return shipping additional, other services available such as dip blueing your barreled action, caliber marking, please inquire.

Best way to reach me is PM here or email [email protected]

I'll have to find a fixer upper.

That's fantastic Chris! Build it and they will come.
Good Luck with your Gunsmithing, Chris

Best of luck.
Best of luck Chris.
Best wishes with your business's. Not enough gunsmiths around as there once was. There were once at least a half dozen good all round smiths in my area within an hours drive, now it's down to about one and he's having med issues and not taking much work if any. Not that they're not needed, seems to many anymore want to work on nothing but AR and Glock style platforms. What state are you located in?
Thanks for the well wishes gentlemen. As I still have full and part time jobs I plan to only take mail in work with the hope in 10 years turning into a full time gunsmithing operation. Word of mouth is very important please keep me in mind if acquaintances ask if you know anyone performing such services.

Thanks again Chris
Power to you, Chris. smile
Hmm, you do barrel installations for:

1903 Springfield
Krag
M1 Garand
1917 Enfield
No. 4 Mk 1 Enfield

I have too many project needing urgent attention. And congrats on the FFL and hanging out the new shingle!
Have re barreled many 03 Springfield's, a couple of Krags, Garands from a short chambered black such as criterion, The Enfield should be no problem with its 10 square threads but have heard the action ring are prone to cracking they also require a little larger shank so keep that in mind if your ordering a blank. I have no barreling experience with the SMLE So not really sure there.

With you in California also unsure of what restrictions sending rifles out for repair your state may have? Are you familiar with the restrictions if any?
What state are you located in ctw?
Northern Lower Michigan.

I have to check on that last part. A lot of guys out here don't do barrels anymore because the state has a $2500.00 fee it charges for anyone doing work that alters the sights on a firearm. Don't aske me to explain that one because I can't. Thanks!
Very cool. Tagging as I may need barrels threaded in the future.
