Trying to help a fella find a sling for his 99 that slips on instead of drilling for studs. I know several of you have mentioned them over the years.

What's the current best source for one?

I found one that was made for a muzzle loader on Midway, I think

I bought a soft leather one made for muzzleloaders off of Cabela's way back when. Apparently they don't sell it any more. I just make sure not to leave it on a 99, don't want anything in the leather hurting the finish.

Try October Country. I've put 'em on a couple of mine. Top quality at a decent price.

Maybe HillamHawk here on the 'Fire could make one out of paracord for you, if you provided him a picture. Not traditional I know, but it will never let go like old dry leather one might.
