Just needs holes fixed.

Could never get past the extra holes, fixed or not.
I would have bid on it, but no way I'd be in that prices range for that gun.

Almost $1400 with fees, more including shipping/FFL. Wonder if it was bought by a hunter, or by a dealer for resale?
well, at least one got every sighting option .

Is it what I think it is ? The 250 TD w/checkered trigger ? Those holes could vanish as if they were never there.

No, it’s a 1924 99G in 250. The checkered trigger ended on the model 1899 250-3000 in 1917.

I just picked up a nice 99G in 250-3000 a month or so ago. Apparently I paid far under the going prices.

Once somebody drills holes in it you can never fix them. It can never be original again.

However, If I owned that gun and it had a different scope on it, I could live with it because 1) I didn't put the holes there and 2) I would hunt it.

I'd like to have a 250-3000 G if I ever run across one that suits me.

Trust me, you send to to Doug and the holes will vanish.
Not cheap but all gone.
I appreciate talent. But like the guy I saw at Carlisle, with a plastic coated magnet, testing the quarters on a hemi car. I asked him what he was doing. He said enough mud will make any hole disappear, but just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not there.
