Said the buyer on GB couldnt pay so it was listed on GI.

Should have left the guy a big fat F if he didn't agree to pay the listing fees and commission.

That rifle and a couple more listed by the same seller were at the 2016 Savage Fest - savagefest-2016-pictures

The wining bidder on GB seems well know to the seller - positive feedback for 4 more 'purchases' from the same seller in March & April -

The older three do not give any details of the auction but the latest one has the auction listed as sold but also as relisted... but the relisted link shows a different gun???

Could it be that the winning bidder on GunBroker could actually be the actual owner driving the price to the limits? Maybe one bid too much? Just a thought.
