What is that, an S on the date stamp under the scope?
The 22-250 doesn't show up until 1966 catalog, but an S on the date stamp would make it a 1965 barrel. The 110's also lost their cut checkering in the 1966 catalog. So an early production 22-250 in 110 from late 1965?
And here you go...
The 1966 110MC in 22-250 was catalogued with a 24" barrel and NO sights. So it's perfectly legit. Except the cut checkering.. that probably makes it an uncommon beast, maybe like the cut checkered 284's? Course, the 1966 catalog might have come out in summer of 1966 and there's a lot of cut checkered 22-250's.. something for you to dig into.
