Want to convert above to DBM. Researching internet shows a range of "too costly to pursue" to "can be done but costs $200", etc. Was intending to do myself if a novice can do (I've installed triggers, spring, new levers for lever guns etc.). Looks like it may be a matter of buying the parts and a new mag from a company like EABCO, cutting a hole in the stock to fit and installing. Not sure if this is right. Yes, I find nothing there.

We tend to be more focused on the older Savage guns. Might try the Hunting Rifles or Gunsmithing forums. Lot more guys there that work with modern Savage bolt actions.
