This past year I'd check the stock market then over to the 24HCF to put the smile back on my face.

No ,but I bought myself a nice big beef steak and a chocolate cake for desert. I'll be up tonight until after 12 and , since its still early ,getting up to cook it now.
I wondered a few days ago ,what the New Mexico beef tasted like back in the days of Billy the Kid. I bet you it was pretty good.

Dad told me he and mom talked it over and at first wanted to name me Sue, but thought Fireball would do a better job keeping the axe murderers at bay.
It must work, I'm still alive. More than I can say for Sue.

I like what Blitz said: "Still lurking and learning." I'm still coming up to speed on my first 99 -- a 1956 EG in 308. When I get it to where I want it to be, I'll post some pics. I think I'll call it "A Fifty Dollar Saddle on a Twenty Dollar Horse."

1st year greenhorn, back for more schooling!...funny, I hated school classwork and studying, maybe they should have had gunsmith and tinkering classes! especially on the nuances of the Savage 99 model identifications!

Reporting in. I am just a schlub who contributes nothing and can't even post pictures, but I do at least have two 1895's and a mysterious looking beautiful 250-3000 that might be a barrel band. I do enjoy the banter back and forth though and I am also the proud possessor of a Lightfoot mount on a transitional 1899/99. I easily wring 2800 feet a second out of that 26-inch barrel.
