Hello! Looking to learn something about this shotgun. Savage Model 30E 12 gauge I don’t much about it, but will take any knowledge about it I can!

Don't currently have pictures but I’ll get some in the next day or so.

Thanks

Dave

Bump! Is it common junk or rare?

I think they're reasonably common. Not highly collectible, but should be a good gun. Made in the 60's/70's, I think?

Several recent ones on gunbroker. They don't bring much money.

Kind of what I figured, my Ol’ Man was asking me and I told I didn’t know much about it.

Thanks for the reply!

I think that the Model 30 is a well made, all steel, shotgun. They aren't collectable, but they are good, rugged, shotguns that should give good service for as long as you take care of it. I have 2 of them, a Series D with a 20" smooth bore slug barrel that my oldest kept loaded with Brennekes when she was working at YNP, and a Series C with a 26" IC VR that I've carried for quail and pheasant. I bought them in 2014 and 2015 and paid less than $200 each.
