Does anyone have catalogs or other info to determine when Marble started and stopped manufacture of the No. 95 folding rear barrel sight? Stroebel’s does not give dates for this sight. And, I’m talking about original Model 95, not current production.

Thanks.
I have a number of Marble early 95 sights. The early versions from the 40s through the 1960s came in a Marbles
celophae/plastic bag with red and black description and sight No, Very well made. Garry Fellers used to have data on these sights-he is still in Ft, Worth but
his voice and health have declined.

I have one on my 1952 99EG, along with MANY on my Winchester Model 71-348s. All the 71s are pre-war models.
One M-71 is a 450 Alaskan with a Model 95 Marbles, backing up a Lyman 56 receiver sight.

If you use Lyman reciever -mounted sights, you need a Marbles 95 as a folding rear sight-
as a backup.

Thanks to this thread I now know that the rear sight that resides on my 1919 250-3000 is a Marble's No 95. Were these original equipment from Savage?

The only model that it was a standard on was the Model K. I doubt that it was offered on the Model 250-3000.
