Yeah I know it's a remington but it is chambered in .300 savage. Called this buck out of a bedding area with a bleat can and a snort-wheeze... dropped in it's tracks

I happen to be a BIG fan of Remintintin pumps. I own 5 of them. I wish I could hunt turkeys with a rifle. I'm tired of biting down on BB's!!!! grin grin Congratulations to you.

Nice! rifles for turkeys? Not allowed here, gotta use shotguns. I'm jealous.

Nice buck!

Very nice, I love looking at hunting pics.
those are a couple of fine looking animals.

My "First" turkey was a 300 Savage kill.., NOT allowed here either but it worked just fine for putting some bonus meat on the table durring Deer season.

Scott

Was that 250 shooting an 87 grain bullet, and what condition was the meat..?
yeah I have never heard of hunitng turkey's with a rifle... have been tempted to in the past two weeks... I bet i have seen 50+ turkey's while deer hunting and yet only 3 deer....

congrats on both thanks for sharing
Saddlering, I picked up several ammo belts on e-bay for myself and friends. Don't know if many show up anymore. 358WSM, that bird was shot with a 100 gr. silvertip. I was off a hair. The top of one drumstick was bruised. The key is to miss the breast. That was the second fall gobbler I killed with the .250. I also killed one with a 7mm-08. No real meat loss on any of them. We can only use a rifle in the fall. The buck was killed with a 180 gr. federal powershock. The 760 was built in 53, just 8 months younger than myself so I fitted it with a weaver k2.5 post and crosshair. It's a fun rig to hunt with. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments and congrats to all the successful hunters. Tom W.
