Anybody know what a stevens 311b is worth? It is a cute little 410 that is going up for auction tonight, and I might have to buy it. How much do they go for and this one is in a case.
is it the double bbl?...or the single? I can't recall.$100. on the single.$300.on the double. For that money you may be awhile seeing your profit margin..Jed.
Jed the tree farm man? How ya been? How about your brother? I am never on this site anymore, but it's neat to see the same old folks are still around.
The 311 .410 doubles bring anywhere from $300 on the newer ones to $500 for the older ones around here. You'd get your $300 back easy,'cept they're so much fun you'll probably keep it.
It'll bring more than $300 around here. If it is an older model and If it has condition it's more like $500. Hard to come by. If it's choked full and full, I'd like to have it. I traded for a Savage 242 not long ago....super little guns.
By the way, what kind of case?

It had a little tan cloth case that held all of the pieces. I did not get to the auction, so I did not pick the gun up. Cute little 410 though. I was thinking about getting it for my daughter as a first hunting gun. She is still years away from shooting, but I would have taken care of it for her! The gun was fairly old and condition was good, with only one major flaw. The front of the trigger gaurd had been soddered into place and was now loose.
Do you know how much it sold for?
The front of the trigger guard is suppose to be held in place by a screw that comes from the inside of the frame. Can't get to it without completely disassemblying the action and those actions are difficult so I guess someone looked for a easy solution. Too bad.

The trigger guards I've seen all have an integral screw on the front; you spin the whole guard to screw it in, and then attach at the rear with another screw; never saw one that attached from inside the action
