Happy New Years to all of the Savage loonies and even to the "normal" ones.
Posted By: 99trix Re: NEW YEARS - 12/31/10
Well I have been lucky this past year. 2010 was the first year in the past 7 that I haven't had a major life changing event, so I really count my blessings. Hope everyone has my luck for 2011.

I have been fortunate this year to meet with two of the campfire members, Norm99 and loggah. Both great wonderful guys. I have added a lot fewer rifles in 2010 than I have in the past years, but nothing ordinary. All pretty special rifles.

All the best in 2011 to all my friends here at the fire!

Happy New Years guys.

I don't think I can top 2010 after I bagged the 16 point buck but I'll do my damndest to try! Gonna lay low till this 2011 deer season as I don't want anything to happen to me (like lose my trigger finger) so I won't be outside or going to work till after this coming November (jk).

See ya tomorrow, got some beer to drink.

2010 for me had it's ups and downs. Daughter graduated from college and got a job! Mom & Dad's health really deteriorated. Sister started chemo today for a nasty version of non-hodgkins lymphoma. The wife and I will approach 2011 with our fingers crossed and thanking God for our faith, friends and family. Here's wishing you and yours a healthy and prosperous new year!

Norm99, I highjacked your posting and made it the 2011 Sign In post. Kind of silly to start a new one since there was already one going. Hope you don't mind.

It will soon be NINE shocked years for some of us here on the Forum!
We still find questions to ask and questions to answer. I think I'm starting to forget the answers to things I use to know...must be getting old. It has been a great place to hang out, thank you Rick Bin! Lots of good friends, some I know in person and some only from their typing. Here is looking to a new years and more answers to the Savage puzzle.

Happy New Years everyone!

Wow...nine years..that's hard to believe. We had a good year and are looking forward to a good one coming. Our oldest is moving back to our area after 20 years away. He and his family will be here in July. Can't wait for that. Hope everyone has a great New Year...stay safe.

Happy New Year to All!

My best heartfelt wishes to any member looking for work. Been there, done that; wore out the T-shirt and made it into gun cleaning rags for the few guns I had left! It's a very tough row to hoe, but we're all keeping you in our thoughts. I'm retired but I haven't forgotten what a hard deal unemployment is, and how you just have to keep your lines in the water and keep on keepin' on!

Happy New Year guys. Many thanks for all you have taught me in the last few years. I've enjoyed meeting some of you at gun-shows in the midwest and at last year's Savage Fest. There's some fine people hanging around this site, and there aren't many days that I don't find something interesting or amusing here.

Cheers,

Rod

2010 was an interesting year with my recovery from knee repair surgery on both knees, losing one job, finding another, and then moving. This forum and the Campfire were a place to find stability all year.

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

Happy new year To all

Happy New Year! I think 2011 is the year I clean up my Bubba'd 1951 .300 S EG.
- buttstock (crappy recoil pad)
- sling swivels (crooked)
- grip cap screw (looks like someone turned it with a chainsaw)
- add an apperture sight
- load some 130gr TTSXs

The rifle is really in good shape other than the misguided efforts of its previous owner.

Happy new year to all. Im still mostly lurkin n learnin with a post every now and then

Happy New Year to all, Still here, still dont look like Groucho.
Happy 2011 to everyone! Keep the info flowing and THANKS for all the knowledge. And once a new year starts, the annual rifle budget starts over too, right?
Back in town for a while...been pretty much gone since Sept. Low back pain chronic, vitreous separation right eye, golf game sucks, didn't get to hunt this fall, wife needs new knees-likely in February, yet overall a much better year than some we've had. Both of us can still jump as high as ever....just can't stay up as long. Greatest regret for 2010 was missing the 'Fest.

Thanks for all the help this year. Wishing all on the forum happy, healthy and prosperous 2011. John
Seasons Greetings, stil here and learning about Savages. I guess there is only a handful going to the shot show. See you there.
