I just acquired a model 20/26 that is drilled and tapped for a side mount (4 holes) could someone tell me what mounts where used for this gun.
Thanks
John
Probably an older Weaver, but could too be a Pachmayr. I don't know the model but you might find it in in Nick Strobel's book on old scopes. On second thought, I doubt Pachmayr ever made a mount for the 20.
Might want to post a picture and measurements of the spacing of the holes also. Might have had a "creative" gunsmith modify a mount to fit.
According to the old catalogs the Weaver Q1, N1 or N4 are for the model 20.

Like calhoun said - show us what ya got.

The hole space is left to right 3 1/16.
The first to second hole is 11/16.
The second to third is 1 11/16.
The third to forth is 11/16.

That is Weaver hole spacing.

I think the Weaver "Side Mount" with a #1 base (for 1" scope) might work. I don't think the "N" mount (3/4" scope) will work. Note: the upper part of the bolt handle might hit the scope when open if it has not been altered already.
