whats the difference in forearms... besides the potential for checkering on an earlier G?
best to fix the broken one if you can.
Kojac - will send info after I find my camera.
It's a 20" barrel 30-30.
The forend is in three pieces at the moment, split lenthwise right through the spring latch and one side broken in half.
Will post pics later.
Bought a stock and forearm from Dakotadan on ebay and they both look very well made. I'm putting the butt stock on my circa 1920 99F on .303. The only oservation I have is that the forearm is a bit shorter than the forearm on my 99F. The butt stock appears dead on in shape.
Link to pictures - first time I've tried this, hope it works!

If you do not find a replacement, you might take a look at Boses. I've not used them but I have heard nothing but good from all account.

Yep:

They can fix or make about anything. Send them the broken one and if they can't fix it they can use it as a pattern to make one.
Has anyone tried the stocks from Gunstocks Inc.?
ouch saying that for the rifle . i will check the lenght of the G forearm tomorrow night against one of my Fs and see if they are same length
could not tell by the pics but does yours have the full metal plate on the back of the for arm with the 2 screws holding the plate on ????
