For the guys here in the Savage Collectors forum. I have made some decisions that include liquidating the following rifles. I can't handle lots of PM's at this point, but I will be getting these listed in the classified as I'm able. If you have seen one of these guns here, since I post lots of pictures grin , and want to say I'll take it, that's fine, otherwise, please no PM's asking for pictures or questions. This is just a heads up for you guys in case you know the gun, and absolutely want to say "I'll take it" before I get them all listed. Costs me $35 to have my FFL package and ship, so figure that additional. Here's the tentative list-

99A 250 Saddle Gun, nice used condition, $675
99A 250 Saddle Gun, new w/o box $850 SPF
99A 308 Saddle Gun, as new w/o box, $750
99A 358 Saddle Gun, an oddball combination with characteristics of 1974'ish guns, minor handling marks, rubber pad $1450
99T 250- rebarreled 24", $700 SPF
99T 300 w/Zeiss scope from 1930's, pre-patent Stith mounts $850
99H 250 Barrel band $850 w/King rear, $1050 w/Winchester carbine rear sight SPF
99F .284 rubber pad, about new $1150
99E .300 1960 E rare model $650 can't do it, withdrawn this one
99DL .308 cut checkered, some blue wear otherwise real good $550 SPF
Whitworth 375 H&H as new, AWESOME striped oil finish wood, $1200
Marlin 57 22 magnum, lots of medium quality carving, blue exc., shoots great $300 SPF
Ruger 77 tang safety 250 Ackley Improved, factory rechambered 250 barrel, reshaped and slimmed stock w/schnable fore end, beautiful little rifle, $850
Savage 110 30/06 1960, absolutely positively new condition $1000

I also have a 300F for my friend Johno, if he would like it, as he has first dibs on that one.

Yes Fred, the same one you and I talked over earlier, but alot less $$ now, just for you friend. grin 1-14" twist
Posted By: Fireball2 Re: A shift in focus for now - 12/31/12
Fred, the 250's in 99A are the faster twist models that we talked about. if you want to shoot heavier bullets, they'd be the ones.

This is either the 250 or 308 99A, not sure which w/o checking. both look new...

Used 99A 250, would not sell with the scope.

I will ALWAYS be a Savage nut. It took me 20 years or so of hunting the 375 to come around, but it stuck.

PM sent

Circumstances with a child in the hospital will limit my ability to be as prompt as I like the next few days.

Pending final verification the 57M is SPF to theduke308. Due to my running to the hospital tonight many PM's are unanswered and the used and new 99A are still up in the air.
Posted By: Fireball2 Re: A shift in focus for now - 01/01/13
theduke308 is good with the Marlin 57M, so it is SPF. Thank you very much.

For all the kind folks that have asked, and to ask for prayer from any Christian brothers-
My 17 year old boys heart stopped while playing today, about two hours after starting this. He was revived by two passerby's, ambulance got him going with paddles. He's in an induced coma for a few days with lowered body temperature to lessen swelling. His mom (especially) and I are a wreck, and ask for prayers and support. You guys have been very good to me, and I count you as friends. Thank you.

Roy, I'm so sorry to hear that! Prayers for your son and your family.
For what it's worth, the same thing happened to a local girl here, maybe a year or two younger, about a year or so ago. Don't recall what the problem was, but she is doing fine now. Hoping for the same outcome for your son.

Roy, Any update on your son?
Posted By: Fireball2 Re: A shift in focus for now - 01/02/13
Gary,
The doctors are going to try to pull Kristian out of his induced coma today. We'll see if he responds, wakes, and if there's any brain damage. Might take a few hours, or days, (or he may not at all), to revive him. We are optimistic today is the day and all will be well. smile Thank you all for your concern. I feel like a boob for mixing up this gun sell off with my sons medical mess. Wasn't planned this way. Maybe I should start a thread in the Hunters forum for Kristian updates?? Also, I never intended the sale thread here to go on forever, so this will be the last post in the Savage forum. For updates on sale and pictures go to classifieds, for Kristians updates go to Hunters forum. Fair enough? Sorry for the clutter.
