Would any of you fellas have some good leads for finding a vintage side-mount scope bracket for the Savage 6A/Springfield 87, etc.?

I've been at it awhile bugging Numrich Arms but no luck there so far. Have also been Googling for parts sources with no luck. I've posted this over on Rimfire Central as well in search of fresh ideas for locating one. I've just started monkeying around with my first 'clack-clack' and aging eyes are keeping me from getting what I can for accuracy out of the iron sights.

This particular gun is a 'pre-war' with side hole spacing of 2-3/8" (61 mm) center-to-center. I've an old serviceable Weaver 3/4" tube that I'm hoping to put on it when I find a suitable base.

Any ideas greatly appreciated....

Should be a Weaver "N" mount. I'll check my stock. While I'm doing that check your Savage M6 for Weaver "N" mount applications. We might could come up with something. Depending on the time frame of your rifle it could involve drilling and tapping. Later rifles were drilled and tapped. Earlier ones not so much.
Weaver "N" (has 4 holes but works), "T-1"" (low), "T-3" (high) same for "S". Also the later Weaver "Side Mount" with #2 base plate w/ 3/4" rings (most are 1").
'Thanks' for the reply, Skidrow. This particular gun seems to be pre 1944-45. It was factory D & T'd leftside receiver with hole spacings at the mentioned 2-3/8" (61mm) c-to-c. I haven't taken out the factory filler screws to determine screw size or pitch as yet. This gun is pretty pristine, and can tell you that it has never worn a scope mount to date, FWIW.

I'll research the Weaver 'N' mount route as well, and do appreciate you checking into what you might have on hand.

Thank you and All Best,

P.S. Thanks as well Rick for posting those specs.
Seams like Flea Bay usually has a few.
Oops! I'd forgotten how new, relatively, the "N" mounts are. blush
