The Savage Room - 02/02/13
Hi Guys,
I am a big Savage 99 fan. Many of my online searchs for 99 info brought me to this room. I figured enough is enough and decided to join you, besides I read some great posts from some fellow NH members.
Savage 99's and Wichester 94's are the only 2 rifles my family used since the late 1800's.
I have 2 Brother's and each have our family 99's. A 1940 in .250 that belonged to my Grandfather and a taker of many Vermont and New Hampshire Whitetail. My Dad's is a 57' in .300.
My Wife surprised me this past Christmas with my own 99. A nice '53 in .300. Range report proved several snowmen at 75 yards. A range I like for my hunting grounds. I am currently looking at a 99c in .308....but should really put my hard earned $$$ into a state of the art 5 1/2 lb bolt. I really need to win the Lottery.
Anyways, Glad to be a part of 24 hr. CF and this Savage group.
