Received my letter on my 1899-A in 38-55 today. Serial number 7462x went to the warehouse on March 25, 1907 and shipped on March 27, 1907 to the George Worthington co. , Cleveland, Ohio. Looking at the history of Worthington, I thought it interesting that he started his career in Utica, N.Y.

Hemlock_Ranger,
Did the letter comment on barrel length?
How about a pic(s) of your rifle? smile

Shipped on my birthday, March 27, just a couple years earlier, like 49 years early, Joe.

This is the second one that folks have had lettered on my birthday. Might make a new sub category of collectible! One 1899/99 for 3/27 of every year of production, Joe.

The letter says no options, so must have been standard 26" barrel. No pics until my tech girl comes to visit.
