Savage 750 12ga - Alumahyde II
Stevens 124 - Parkerize

Rusted in buckets, siezed up, etc. did just enough to get them working for the next show. Not dumping a lot of money in them, figure they'll be good cheap stock or trading stock. The 124 is a cool little piece for a straight pull.

124--one of the original "plastic guns"!
It's odd being around WWII I believe that it has an aluminum trigger group. I figured it'd be steel along with the rest of it.

The polychrome on the savage says "Savage" on it so I imagine it's original.
Wow, what possessed you? It must have been a labor of love or the challenge. Not that I have anything against the firearms but it sounds like they were one step away from the scrap heap before you found them.
Just something to do.

We have 2 browning medallions going through re heat treat and testing before being buffed and reblued. They were in a house fire.
I also have 2 mousers to parkerize. One in 7.62z39, and one in .45ACP that takes 1911 magazines.
