It passed here a few minutes ago. It was about 99% total. Really cool (no pun intended, the temperature dropped to 60, also). You guys East of here have something to look forward to if you're in the path. David
Cloudy here but is a bit darker then normal!
That was awesome.. had total cloud blockage about 30 minutes before, and then it came out. Got this with the cell phone during 100%. A lot more color around the edges than I was expecting.
Which Savage should a fella use during an eclipse?
Had 80% a few minutes ago. That's all I get. Looks pretty weird outside. The flood lights came on, on my building on the shady side.
303 Savage will shoot all the way through the moon..
Just watched it from the observatory here at the college. Pretty cool even if it was only about 80% for us. Temp dropped fairly signicantly. Now off to the grocery store- with everybody outside looking at the sun I figure it's the perfect time.

That's a damned good photo. How did you do it?
My Android has a Mode setting of "Pro", and in there I was able to set the ISO setting down to 100. After that it was just hold it up to the eclipse glasses and try REALLY hard to hold the camera still.
People with good cameras and solar filters got some gorgeous photos if they were were lucky enough to not have clouds.

+1 "300 blackout"
Ha, ha - good one!
Here there was 71% coverage which meant nothing really cause "Mama taught me not to stare into the eye of the sun."
It peaked here at 10:17 PST. We had about 80% and the temps went down too. A few miles up the road in Oregon it was 100%. FB2 must have been in the dark.
I was out fishing and caught a nice walleye right smack dab in the middle of it.
Location was Burt Lake in northern Michigan.
Never happened here... Clouds. I was driving home from U.P. and didn't really seem to darken or anything?
we gotta wait seven more years for ours

Got them special glasses was able to see the sun rays peeking through the holes in the Swiss cheese moon. I thought I saw a mouse scurry about also.
I was trying to finish up a side job I started Saturday. Took down a 40 Inch Ash tree. I was joking with the owner, said I was going to work in the shade of the eclipse. Level of light dropped a little, temp felt like it dropped for a few minutes. When I checked my truck the temp was down to 90, with our normal 80 percent humidity. At 4 we just gave up, too hot to lift and split wood. He did give me a $300 bonus, but we still have about a cord of wood to split and stack, Joe.
Standing in the back yard hoping for a break in the clouds. Had given up and walked to the door, glanced up and there is was. Mostly covered by the moon then the clouds covered it back up and it was gone.
