I am in need of a part for a Lyman NO.42 receiver peep sight. The part that holds the aperture and is adjustable for windage. Any help would be appreciated. I hope that the description is enough.

I don't have one but 42s pop up in ebay. You probably could pull the part from any 42 and make it work. These were hunting and not target sights, so I wouldn't expect there to be any hand fitting involved.
S99VG, They do on occasion come up and actually I bought the last one that did. Being the cheap old guy that I am I was hoping to get the one part I need. The only part needed is the windage adjustment, not the elevation part. The windage adjustment is more then likely the part that gets lost more often than any other. The Lyman 42 is a nice small sight and looks good on a Savage model 23. I am willing to put sometime in to the hunt, but at some point I will sell off the parts to make another one whole. Thanks for the reply and I will keep my eye out on eBay.
