Digging through some old photos the other day I came across this one of my paternal grandmother holding her 250 Savage and my mother with Dad's 25-35 Winchester. This would have been their total deer harvest in 1938. Granddad's Model 14 .30 Remington is leaning against the post behind my grandmother.

I am guessing the ladies insisted in going to the house to change clothes before they allowed the picture to be taken. Still...don't see many deer hunters wearing dresses today.
