A pair of take downs showed up at my door today. One owner rifles in reasonable shape.
#1 22 Savage 1918-19 20 " barrel all #s correct all original finish
#2 250 savage 1928 22" barrel all correct except rear elevator missing as well as receiver sight (I have people looking for this)

2014 I had a flood in my basement of the old house . I lost all my Savage research that was on paper as well as the hard drive I had digital copies on. So I would welcome Some help with model identification.

The G is 3135xx
The H is 1958xx

What's the blue like on the 99G? Would you say it's the same as the 1899H, or maybe a shinier, or even a mirror blue?

The turd that stole the tang sight on the 250 G won't fess up to it and I can find anybody that knows what it had so how many options do I have?
