My only experience with the good folk of Lac du Flambeau was buying a very nice Winchester Hi-wall from a Native's garage sale there in about 1974. It was a .32-20 WCF (NOT a misprint) with a 30" #3 weight barrel and had a bore so corroded that bullets hit the paper sidewise, making a very interesting sound on their way there. A quick reline turned it into a good ol' gun, (although with all the ergonomic qualities of a steel fence post.....).

You may be surprised.
The Northwoods deer are a larger genetic strain than here 250 miles south.
They need to navigate deep snow and outrun wolves. Only the large survive.
Regarding the pic, 350 is a round number, live weight?, dressed weight?, etc... No way to substantiate at this point.
That is a hulk of a buck though.

A guy had an old Ford F5 cab over sitting in his yard. We got to talking and I said I was up for deer season. He was an independent trucker and hauled vegatables up and down the East Coast. His main gig was hauling onions out of Maine. He pulled out a picture of 3 deer on a pole. All 3 looked nice, two 8's and a 10, very symetric with good mass. I laughed and said "I know they didn't come from around here?" He said they got them in Maine, and asked me to guess the weight of the little one. I said 130-140? He said the little one was over 190 and the other two were over 300, all dressed.
He had a long cinder block chicken barn with 69 John Deer tractors, a couple Ford pickup's and a bunch of other cool stuff. I was still hunting with a Marlin 336 in 35. I wonder what kind of guns he had. I bumped into an other tractor guy up there and asked about him. He said the fellow had passed away and the family had sold all of his stuff.
