Did the 340B come with plastic butt plate? Mine, in 22 Hornet, has plastic that doesn't look Savage to me.

Probably depends on the year, but I think a lot of them did.

My 1950 342 does.

What year, I'll try to see if I have the catalog.

No Ser # so not sure year. Looks like your butt plate. Plate has "23" stamped on it.
Probably good to go.
