Esp old micarta.

While back Vince listed a Mike Miller knife with some vintage micarta scales. Old Louisiana shipyard micarta. 1950’s era.

Asked Mr Mike to make another skinner with that.

very cool and yes as pretty as some wood handle knives are you just can't beat micarta for durability

I have not seen that before, really looks nice. That is also one of my favorite patterns from Mike.

I like that pattern. I used one last season for deer.

He made it 3/32” hollow ground.

Made a “carbon fiber “ kydex pocket sheath with a homemade micarta bead.

That kydex goes well with the old micarta.

Don’t mind the smudges on the blade. One day I’ll have pics that look like GWB’s. Ya!

I think 3/32” is the ticket. I’ve got a several in that thickness.

I don’t pry or chop or baton or pull nails or split coconut shells.


Pure coincidence, that pattern is very similar to a Winston #43/45.

The old shipyard micarta is nice. Great colors to it.

I do like the carbon fiber better for that particular knife but the basket weave is nice. You have some in other colors?
