I'm not sure what Gene called this (I think it was a #1 drop point) but it has been through a bunch of antelope, deer and elk as well as several of my fingers and it's perfect for field dressing and breaking down game.
Remsen, my Jewish brother, looks eerily similar to this’n? Dunno what model it is as I bought it used on here. She’s early model but I love the pattern/weathered elk handle.

Yes, sir, that looks dang close! Mine has Sambag stag scales but otherwise it looks to be the same profile.

Might be able to tell if it wasn’t covered in antelope blood!! 😂😂

Any clean pics brother?
I think this may be the first time I've taken a pic of this knife clean...
Jud Thanks buddy! Other than washing those blades I hadn't touched them since last week's bear. They were still sharp as s*** and went through that elk hide and meat like sailing through satin. A real pleasure. I actually sent Gene an email right in the middle of it. Ha! They are both passable sharp now but probably due for a touch up
Texted with stonehocker tonight. Phone call tomorrow. Get a couple ordered from him
Ingram hopefully by late winter early spring my number will be called.
Need to get a 16bore. That was love at first sight for me, and would probably get used extensively on birds/squirrels etc.
I’m envious of the knives you guys have
Contacted rocky couple weeks ago, got a 16 bore on order, butterscotch micarta. Dunno if don or gw has one, hate being a copy cat, but too sexy to ignore... 🤣🤣
Good picture! Lite Hunter is a great pattern. I have a Lite Hunter +1/4" length and really enjoy using it. My LH has been modified for a squared off back instead of the normal rounded butt.

Finally punched my deer tag this morning on this little blacktail. He was eating mushrooms in the dark woods. Used only the Ingram Liteskinner on him. I love this knife! This is it's third critter in a month, the others a bear and a cow elk. The knife is still moderately sharp.

On a cold day that gummy fat really sticks on a knife. One of the reasons I like a fixed blade better than a folder is trying to clean that stuff out of the recesses of a folder is such a pain in the rear.
Filled a coffee can with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes and it wiped right off. I was going to use a new Great Eastern Cutlery liner lock, but passed for the very reason you stated.

Hot water and an old tooth brush are your friends in that situation

Yeah, a little liquid dish soap, hot water and a stiff toothbrush gets it done.
