Anybody have one? Impression? I’ve been on a waiting list for over a year, and I just received the “It’s time to order” email.
So have I, just paid for it. Supposed to be a dandy.
I was not familiar with their folder. I have been thinking of a Chris Crawford but don't know what his time frame is. These knives certainly look good. Their fixed blades do too. Price sure seems okay and I suppose if you didn't like it then it would be easy to sell.
At my age I can't sit on a waiting list for a year so I doubt there is one in my future.
Actually considering not ordering the knife. Their email said the order was transferable, if anyone is interested, let me know. I’m not interested in anything other than someone getting the opportunity to order the knife.
I have the original. It’s grossly underpriced. I absolutely love mine.
I remember you were quite happy with yours, lotta the reason I ordered one. Think they’re gonna ship late January. 👍
Deploys like a light saber and locks up with zero perceivable movement. I have been considering buying a full complement of their kitchen knives.
You could offer me triple what I paid for this and it wouldn’t get it done. It’s fascinating they can produce this level of quality at that price point.
What scales you go with? Naturally I asked them if they would do a set of Westinghouse Micarta scales for it on a special run on their CNC equipment. Negative.
I just went hunter orange
Dude have you actually handled and deployed one yet?
Anyone reading this thread? Order one of these. Full stop.
I saw these mentioned a while ago.
The size is slightly bigger than I like but Woodson is talking me onto trying one.
How do they compare to a sebenza?
I had a Sebenza. Get the Skaha. Guys? Order it. The waiting list will only continue to grow.
Watch the nerds on YouTube? It isn’t hype.
I can’t wait for you to receive it. Look forward to your thoughts.
Just ordered mine
Appreciate the additional input, I’d decide not to order!! I went with the Black G10.
You’ll laugh when you get it. The reason for the waiting list will be clearly obvious.
Well you got good taste in whiskey, I’m sure your taste in knives is gtg. Grin
Dammit men, I just got on the wait list.
I almost ordered the 6" filet knife while I was poking around on the site

Haha it’s a sickness! We need to start a group, like AA, or NA... 😂😂
The habit has probably cost me about as much, haha.
Ricky Menefee told me buying them was still way cheaper than deciding you need to make them!
I just went hunter orange
Perfect. Especially for old blind [bleep]. Nice
That’s a fact chuck!! I lose shiit all the time, gotta make er easy to find!! 😂
The Skaha II arrived today, I love it!! It’s light, and the action is really nice. Like Woodson said in an earlier post “Deploys like a light saber and locks up with zero perceivable movement” Had to take a photo of it next to a Benchmade CLA and an Arcane. Get on their waiting list, it was worth it
Good to hear, mines supposed to be here tomorrow
You’re gonna love it. I was surprised at how light it is. The G10 is bead blasted and super smooth, but grippy if that makes sense? Just like David Winston’s or Gene Ingram’s bead blasted G10.
I’m glad you guys like it. I didn’t hype it too much right? I love mine.
It definitely lives up to the hype........need one for each pocket
I guess I'll find out in a year, I'm on the list.
I'm afraid it will be a little big for my tastes (a small sebenza is about perfect to me) but it looks light, thin and the then blade sounds way better than the sharpened pry bar most one handed knives are today.
Enjoy yours 257!
Love the orange, you’ll never lose that one in the woods 👍🏼
Ya I’m always puttin stuff where I shouldn’t, figure it’ll help. 😆

Sittin here fondling it, I think your right pard, while I really like this’n, if they made er 1 size smaller, they’d really have something. That being said I really like it, if that makes sense?? 😂😂
I understand, I put orange lanyards on my Winstons, Ingrams, rangefinder, and flashlights for the same reason.
Btw, I got back on the waiting list for another couple for my boy and a pard or 2. Grin
You guys are killin me
I just finally got to the top of j_elky's list for a couple of his knives and now you post up these. Really liking the fillet knives on their site, might need one or a couple of those for the price I sure like the looks.
Enablers!!
Sorry, I’m always at the top of jelkys list!! Haha
Kiddin bud I’m expecting one before long, I just tell em, (all) my makers get ahold of me when they’re ready... salmon fishin has taught me patience!! 😂😂

OM I have one of their fillets. Perfect amount of flex and nice thin blade. Get one.
Goes through them like butter.

Salmon fishing and patience - copy that especially when fishing in my boat
I do alright on the fall fish but springers kill me. Woodson I did see on their website that they flex just right, would be great for cleaning up a mess of kokanee!!
Damn y’all. I am in the list

How stiff is that filet?
Would it make a decent boning knife or is it too flexible?
Thanks
I just emailed to see where I am on the ordering list and it says 23 months?!?! Holy hell!

Damn it glad I got mine, signed up again to get a couple more, didn’t pay attention to lead times.
I got on the list a month ago and am probably longer than that. There was a guy trying to sell one on the big auction site the other day for a ridiculous price. He finally pulled the listing.
I suppose a guy could get on Shiloh's list and the Randall's too.
I got mine last week.
The fit, finish, grind and overall workmanship are the best I've seen. It has the thinnest stock behind the edge of any locking folder I've ever had. It should make a great slicer.
That said, and this is not a knock on the product, I can't stand the flipper. I feel like the flipper is in the way of how I grip it at times. I've always carried thumb stud or hole knives and this is the first flipper I've had. I'm sure most guys wouldn't notice but I'm not crazy about it.
Mine is going to end up in the classifieds because I just can't get used to it. If somebody here in the knife forum is interested, PM me. I'd rather one of you guys get it instead of a classifieds surfer.
maybe a stud could be installed if you liked it enough
I bought dude270's. Exceptional knife.
Judman;
Top of the morning my cyber friend, I hope the weekend was good to you and yours and you're all well.
Thanks for putting up the crisp photos of your Skaha, it looks "about perfect" to me.
When I was still gainfully employed and first learned about them I came within a whisker of ordering one just because.
As a by the way the knife is named for Skaha Lake which used to be known as Dog Lake back in the day. North Arm knives are in Burnaby, BC as you know, but they must have spent some time in our part of BC to choose that name. We've lived almost exactly centered between Vaseux Lake and Skaha Lake for more than 30 years and can walk to either one in less than half an hour, though none of that has anything to do with knives.
It's good to see a father and son outfit doing well too though so I'm glad to read you and other folks are pleased with the quality.
Truly what I should do is sell off a bunch of my excess stuff - axes, knives, saddles, etc. and then more etc. - and put my name on that list.
All the best to you all down south Jud.
