Found this older knife in a drawer at my grandpas place.

Can somebody date it?

Says Marbles, Gladstone, Mich, U.S.A.

Nice find Brian, if only it could talk...

Probably pre-WWII, during the war Marble's used Bakelite pommels rather than aluminum. After the war they resumed aluminum, some had stag pommels although this is less frequently seen.

That's an old Ideal
I haven't seen as many of those left
as I have the Woodcraft

Probably pre II as posted ^ ^

Ought to be some collector groups online
with more precise and detailed info

If only half of this stuff could talk.

The place I found this is actually a farm my great grandfather bought in '22.

Was handed down to my grandpa in '94 and now my mother and aunt own it but their health isn't the greatest so I am doing most of the initial clean up and then they can go through the good stuff.

The oldest dated item I have found is Christmas of 1882, a book that was given to my 2x great grandfather.

Nice find. Leather washers are in pretty good shape.
A little clean up and edge touch up and take her hunting.

That's a classic. You should recondition it.

I've got one, too. The blade is pre-war, but the rest is from the 1990s, when the Gladstone, Michigan, Marbles factory was reopened briefly.

finding that, and with the family history it has, would make anyone very happy

Great find!
Not sure he proper thing to use, but I am thinking that you may want to find an "expert" to tell you how to feed that leather.

Wonder what stone they usedcut those serious gouges in the blade?
That should have taken some effort.
