This style of blade is of interest to me. What would you guys that have one say it excels at over more traditional styles such as a drop point or semi skinner? I know they are typically described as a "boner". Used in the kitchen also for some tasks?

How much flex do these have? Looks like it could be a wicked fillet knife if the flex is there. I really like that handle shape.

Judman have you used yours to fillet any fish? Curious as to how it would work.

On the flex I'd maybe call it about medium. Its not like a full on fillet knife with lots of flex - could also be that the blade isn't that long. Its a pretty thin blade and you could certainly use it as a fillet for small to medium size fish.

thanks for the info Oregonmuley! I like a bit of a stiffer fillet knife and you'd be surprised the size of fish I can fillet with a small blade.

Then I'd say they are about perfect for what you are looking for. Haven't had a chance to use them yet but expect they will work just fine
