I’m afraid that’s what most people romance about when they buy a knife. How tactical it looks

I don’t know if I have any of them doing their jobs. I’ve got some of them doing other jobs. Sometimes I use them as rulers.

A dear friend of mine that guides for elk in New Mexico has this blade of mine. It’s over 30 years old and has gutted and skinned hundreds of elk. I’d been making blades for ten or so years and thought I could give advice to Jesus on knife making back then. I’ve improved a bit since then but my buddy still loves this blade:

I like it! I’ll have to see if he’s taking orders. I’ve got one that I think he calls a caper that I really like!

And there’s a standing offer to buy any of the white/ivory handled knives on this thread! 😬

Think this is about the only picture I have of knives being used, need to work on that! Joel Clark fillet.

Thanks Jud! Its a pretty special knife. Got it as a gift from a fellow 24hr member who worked with Joel to come up with that one shortly after I lost my dad Sig. Joel named that pattern fillet "Sig's Buoy 10" in honor of my dad, who was a slayer of salmon at Buoy 10 and never missed a season.
