Rick makes 2 versions of this sexy lil sumbitch, already got the one, figure I needed the twin. Both toxic green liners with stabilized redwood burl Dan, “Longarm “ picked up for me. Check out that tapered tang! 👊🏻 Great work as usual, thanks Rick. 👍

whoa.....
Super nice, Jud. I hadn't seen the sheath yet on that one, real nice. That redwood and the green liners go great! And who doesn't love a nice thin tang? laugh

That's a doozy Jud! Really like everything about it. I would never have thought to put those zombie green liners under that wood handle, but they look awesome!
Dammit boy!

That’s nice Jud.

I need to get Ricks list for the short dumplin he’s doing.
Short dumplin? Never heard of it, how much shorter?
That's gorgeous - what's the blade length?
Posted By: SLM Re: Rick Menefee 12 bore in route - 07/12/22
Very nice.
J about 2 3/4” cuttin edge. Smaller than it looks in the pics, but I like a small blade from elk on down
Gotcha. It does look longer - I'd have guessed closer to 4" which is why I asked wink
That's a beauty, Judman. Looks like it could be a great carry knife, too.

He’s posted it on IG.

I forget the dims.

He’s got a comparison pic.

Just texted me a pic, I like that Dave. 👊🏻
Damn!!! That’s a piece of art.
Yea I need one of those.

Yes…lol
That is a beautiful cuttin’ iron that he made for you.

I’ve had the privilege of bein’ in his shop visiting with him and watchin’ him work several times. He is truly a one of a kind dude in all good ways. And his craftsmanship is absolutely second to none. No jigs or special devices that help him create those tapered tangs that go down to nearly nothin’ and the perfect symmetry that is clearly apparent on the knives that he creates. He eyeballs every bit of it and freehands all of it. And his knives are bombproof. Many would be surprised at the little things that he does to ensure absolute top quality in every aspect of the knives that he builds. He is without a doubt the best at his craft of anybody that I’ve ever met in my entire life.
That is spectacular!

That is an incredible skill.
Ya pretty damn impressive. 👊🏻
Here’s his other 12 bore he built me, pretty close to the same, little slimmer blade profile. Pic of the tang, for conversation.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]
Nice!
Will be interesting to see the two 12-bore styles side by side when you have them both!
damn that's purty, and I know it will perform
Little pic update, the latest is the bigger of the 3, 12 bore with a Rocky 16 bore. The slimmer of the redwood burls should be a 20 bore IMO, beautiful blades for sure. 👊🏻

That green micarta folder with the drop point blade is killer! I have always liked the look and utility of that knife. I'd like to have one to go along with his one. There aren't any safe queens around here, they all have to earn their keep...

I’m greedy and a brilliant mind told me once. “Need has nothing to do with anything” I can’t seem to sell. As for the cadet in kick’s my Annie in the balls everyday. Something to do with lock time I surmise. My crystal ball says more TurnBulls in my future

What a wonderful example of a 600. Simply breathtaking curly. As for the Lattice. I believe 3 knives were made. Had to be 15 years +. Hallucination's much like a LSD trip took place. Monkeys, I don’t need and I thought maybe my respiratory system needed to last.

Short Boner with Westinghouse Rags. With damn good curly that was a pleasure to work.

Dove should be epic in SW Oklahoma unless the drought ends. I’m ready and very willing for some wing shooting.

I’ve got a Gardners w/ Westinghouse corncob and Ukraine roller rags. Triple barrel sporting two 16’s and 7by57.
