Is David still making knives? I cant find any current production online.

Seems he posted on FB that he has had health issues.

Hes not a spring chicken either…..


With him and Gene retired, next best maker of that style would be Ken Honeycutt.

Ken’s patterns and style is influenced by both David and Gene. He learned from both.

I don't think Ken is turning out a lot of knives anymore either. I've talked to him 2x about making a knife, but that doesn't seem to be moving very fast.
Can't blame these guys-retirement is the best job I ever had and these guys are anxious to give that a try.

I think Ken got bit by the slip joint bug…

I haven’t talked to him in a few years since the made me the last one.

I’m happy for them to slowdown / retire.

Grateful for the knives i did get from them…
