Gents,

I've got a Fallkniven F1 that I really enjoy but never cared for the rubber handle. I cut that off, used a carbide bit to drill a second hole in the handle, and have corresponding brass pins. Now I just need to figure out what to choose for handle material. Ironwood seems practical. I also have access to ebony. Any other suggestions? (Or pictures of your scales as examples?)

Thanks y'all.
I like micarta. Burlap is my favorite. I don't know why but is seems to be the least used micarta. It has a "grip" to it when wet.
Check out gcarta.

Micarta handle.

The blade itself is laminated VG-10 but the handle isn't laminated. A carbide bit got through it, but it took some time.
Looking forward to seeing your finished knife.

👍👍
I've used Ironwood and Cocobolo to make some pretty attractive knife handles.
I think I've settled on ebony. Will post pics when done!
