My boss gave me a little wrapped present. I cheated on waiting till crimmas to open it, as I'm going coyote hunting in the A.M. after feeding steers. It's a little knife from an outfit called Silver Stag. He found them at some outdoor show he goes to, but I'd never heard of them before. He wanted to have a set of custom kitchen and steak knives made, and handled with horn, from the first elk killed on the ranch (mine from last fall). He showed me their catalog last fall when he decided to use them for that chore. He asked me what I thought about them, and I was honest in my reply. I told him that, of everything in their brochure, there was only one pattern/steel that would be worth me having as I didn't like ANY of their other offerings. He musta listened to my rant, as this is what he surprised me with. Should be a good little fur/fish/game/caper.... He even had my trophy pic put on the back of the card, and cow brand put on the handle. I branded the sheath....

I used it to slice pork loin for dinner. Does that count?

About the same handy size as the meneffee 12GA, or Mike Millers caper. And slices up dinner just slicker than snot...

Nice score Don. I'm pretty sure your boss thinks quite highly of you, for good reason. The saying good help is hard to find comes to mind. Enjoy & have a good new year. 🐾👣🇨🇦

Wow, I like that a lot.
I like the profile of that li’l guy.

That’s awesome Don. Great present. A bit better than a new tie or a pair of cozy slippers. <grin>

My cop buddies that come out to shoot, dropped by today. After banging steel, we went out to try to call them in a coyote before dark. Didn't see any. When we got back to the ranch, they gave me another little late crimmas present. A Spyderco folder and a $50 cabelas card. Don't have a use for a folder that size, but I can sure spend the card..... Good guys.

That's nice Don.

That folder looks a little big but it's hard to tell in the photo. I like the blade shape though
