Took this set to WY last week. I love sheep horn and orange is growing on me so.....
Steel is 154CM. Larger drop for belt, smaller for backpack
Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.
Tim
Now that is something you don't see everyday. Love the blade profile with the sheephorn.
Orange sure makes them easier to locate.
How about a Wy update? You put the blades to use?
Shot eaters. A fork muley and a doe antelop. Also caught a few trout, but the water was really low and they were dying in some of the holes where there was no running water. Hope the rain last couple days helped them out.
The Drop Point worked exceptionally well on the antelop.
Tim
love the contrast you have going on there.
Very Nice Tim! looks great! glad ya got some game too!
your craftsmanship continues to grow Tim. Those are beautiful.
Yes, beautiful both of them.
I can't say that I've ever seen that combination before. At first I didn't think I liked the look......at first......then I kept looking, it's growing on me. It's certainly practical and although I'm not normally a fan of mixing synthetic materials with natural I like the looks of these. Both patterns sure look like they'd be good users too.

Tim,
Nice work as always!!! Are we going to met at Charles again this year? Bring some knives for me to choose from. I really like the smaller of the two. I'll be bringing my son with me this year before he deploys to Afghanistan. He will be taking the Olt combat knife you built for him. I would like for you to meet him.
Respectfully,
Dave
Dave
Good to hear from you.
Anxious to meet your son. I am sure the knife will service him well as it has others.
Just working on a "new" fighter that should work well in the field also.
I was just about to check and see if Charleys was in order this year. Since opener is Tues how about a Mon meet????
Ref the contrast. I was skeptical at first myself. Thought about it for a year or so. When I make something for myself with sheep horn, someone usually talks me out of it. I thought this might be rad enough that I wouldn't be asked to part with them.
Thanks for the comments
Tim
Another view. Yeah, I know, but he tastes reeeeal good.
Tim
Tim,
Let's shoot for lunch time on Monday, Deer Season Eve. Hopefully, you can come up to our camp again for a visit.
Dave
Sounds good. Will be in contact later. When you leaving home to come up????
Tim
Congrats on your on your deer hunt. Also a nice looking set of knives.
Gee Tim, thought you would only shoot deer with horns large enough for knife handles.
I'll be ariving on the 10th.
Just working on a set of steak knife handles.
Nice stuff Tim!! Tell the boys at NORG hello from me.
John
If you have seen the news, there is not much good going on at the club right now.
Tim
I did see that Tim, it sucks. Any shooting going on there at all now?
The outdoor range is closed during the interim and I suspect forever. Still shooting clay birds (which I don't do).
Tim Bakker says HI back.
Too bad all my other options are so far away (compared to 2 miles anyway).
Tim
Really like the blades and the sheep horn... The orange not so much, but hey, still very nice work and you didn't build 'em to impress me.
Don't know why, but there's definitely a craze lately for the orange but I just haven't embraced it. Still great job as always.
Once you have and orange handled knife in your position, the grow on you quite a bit quicker.
Gonna add some to a stick tang as spacers one of these days.

As always, the comments are interesting and appreciated.
