I was looking at a custom hunting knife but really do not like the sheath that comes with it.
What would a sheath cost to have a hunting sheath made and who does it?
Larry Parsons in Mustang, Oklahoma.
Michael Miller in podunk hillbilly Chandler, Oklahoma. He's a member here too.

I can vouch for Mr Jones' work as well. Great sheaths for the $$.

Texasknife.com if you want inexpensive but good quality leather sheaths usually below $20.
I have a couple of Parsons which are really top quality but a bit pricey.
J.W.Smith and Sons of Oberlin, Kansas does very good work at fair prices and reasonable turnaround.

if you can catch Doug, screen name here, is "757", he will make you a great sheath.
I make sheaths and I spent a day with Chris Kravitz of Treestump Leather in Ellsworth Maine. He's a lot better than I am and has been in Blade Magazine many times for his work.

polychoke, welcome to the fire, and thanks for the heads up. My dad and I spent the opening day of KS pheasant season in Oberlin, KS for years and years. We are in the same state, but it is about 400mi. I will check out the Smith's. Thanks.
i just went through this and can recommend Paul Long. Not the cheapest but does some amazing work and does it very quickly. Turn around time is a few days not a few weeks.

Tim would love to see a pic of what Paul long made for your T.A. Davison slippy.
Here in michigan we have Jack Mosher, he will make a sheath that will last a lifetime, and look good to boot!

Depends on what you want. Leather ChuddyBear or Rainwalker. Kydex AzWeleke Dave Brown or Mashed CAT. You can always make your own.
