Got an email today from Gene, and it's time to decide; thinking about jigged Ivory. Anybody have one in jigged Ivory Paper Micarta? Also curious about blood staining on a lighter colored Micarta....thoughts?

Blood on my paper linen micarta fron Gene was not an issue. Although if it was I think the patina would be awesome over time.

I don't think I have any, but I could take some later.

I'll check photobucket and see if I do.

Does he bead blast the paper micarta after he jigs it, like he does with the jigged and bead blasted G-10?

I've got a white micarta slim that has had as much blood on it as I can imagine. Ive just wiped it off and touched the blade up here and there. No need to worry or send them back to him to clean and sharpen for you. It's all good.

Yes, they're jigged then beaded.

Cool, mine are quite a bit different than that. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow.
That looks like a bad dimpling job, I sorta like it

Very nice SMACK. Looks great. The black hardware looks great too.

I've had this one for 8 or 9 years now...his 2nd or 3rd in S30V after initial testing of the steel...

Love the older jigging pattern better than the new.....beautiful knife.

This is the jigging pattern that all of mine have. That's ivory micarta on the left and antique on the right.

One of the best jigging pattern yet.....those are sweet. You're helping me make my decision.

Slim
S30V.... never owned a stainless custom; only D2 or O1 Carbon
Ivory Micarta, jigged and bead blasted jwill350 or antler's style....
Mosaic pins

Jigged micarta with micarta pins is about my favorite configuration, a close second to nice dense stag. I have quite a few jigged Ingrams, all handle very well when others get slick.
