Always great to love the knife you carry.
Which sharpening technique are you using that places chatter marks on the edge?
That was the factory edge. I ran it with the factory edge and just occasionally stropped it for the first few months since it was supper sharp to start with. I use a lansky to sharped it now.
That's what I was thinking but when you mentioned how easy it was to sharpen you plied my interest.
That Elmax steel is impressive stuff. My EDC, an Alan Davis liner lock, sports an Elmax blade. I've had it for more than a year, haven't abused it but it's seen honest use. I never let it get dull and flip it on a strop every so often. If I can see the edge I just keep flipping it on the strop. Eventually the edge "vanishes".
Is that a gold alox Farmer?
never got around to buying a ZT blade. Always hear good things about them though.
My new EDC is the Benchmade H&K auto in that other thread.

Is that a gold alox Farmer?
Orange Alox Farmer. It never leaves my back pocket.
Dude! Where did you get a orange farmer? Its awesome! I have carried a farmer everyday for the last 2 years. Most practical knife ever. I just wish it had a bail like a wenger standard issue instead of the split ring.
try Swiss Bianco. They carry a pretty wide assortment.

Two of my favorites. Blade Tech Pro Hunter in S30V and carbon fiber and a William Henry T12 CF.

Does your Alox Farmer have brass liners or not...?
No it doesn't.
Next time I run up on a buy like these I am buying a bunch. They make great gifts. I gave one to my BIL and wished I had about 5 more last XMAS.
Thanks. I like the orange; I think some other colors in the Alox Farmer would be cool too.
I found one of the red Farmers a few years ago in a pawn shop and bought it - much better knife than the old style Swiss Army Knives with the red plastic handles.
I like it. I think the colored ones would be easier to spot in my pack. Thanks for the pic.
the Farmer models are just too small for me. I vastly prefer the One Hand Trekker model. I always have one with me when hiking or camping.
Stock photo of the one I carry. Super light amazing s30v cutting power. That and my Kahr pm9 loaded with Speer 124 GD's+P and a extra clip are my constant companion.
I have a knife fetish for matched fixed blades and folders for EDC.
My favorites, carried most - Sebenza and Bobenza:

I do like that pix.
Stunning.
Specs on your EDC if you don't mind.

My EDC is a GEC.
It'll cut bailing string. Haven't tried cutting any barb wire with it.
Journeyman,
I concur with Geedubya, who's the maker on the barbed wire fixed blade? Beautiful sets of EDCs as well.
