I am in the market for a new EDC knife and I wanted to see what everyone is carrying these days. I am leaning towards and auto (OTF) but I am open to anything.
Post pictures of your EDC knifes. I am currently carrying a MOD CQD Mark 1.
Benchmade Mini Griptilian for me. I got the regular blade version rather than the serrated. While it isn't an assisted opening knife, it opens smoothly, easily, and locks up well. Sharpens nicely and holds an edge. Love it.
large case stockman.
somedays a cheap ontario rat 2
Spyderco Delica VG 10 steel.
It's a standard.
You might want to rethink an OTF for EDC, they gum up really quick if you use it for food prep.
In the rotation:
1. Kershaw Skyline (USA made, nice blade, flipper, pocket clip)
2. Buck 340 Vantage (USA made, decent blade, small flipper, pocket clip).
3. SOG Twitch II (flipper, assisted open w/lock, pocket clip). Mine is the older model with the ?plastic/polymer/nylon? scales. Very light, but has some (acceptable to me) blade play.
4. When an exposed pocket clip isn't appropriate....Victorinox Cadet.
Nothing too expensive, as loss is an everyday carry possibility.
Withrow liner lock.
Bark River Little Creek and/or Schatt&Morgan Heritage Jack.
Spyderco Jason Breeden Rescue
Withrow liner lock.
That's sweet!
Spyderco Stretch 2, and a little CRKT. I need a good knife, and one I don't mind abusing. I have a cool little Browning two bladed lockback. Unusual arrangement, that, but it makes good sense. For some reason, don't use it much anymore.
A regular sized Griptilian most days, fine edge blade.
Arrington 3-finger..... and a couple pocket knives.
Gerber LST. $20 at the local Chinese Embassy. No loss if lost, cheap and easy to replace.
OTF auto is hardly a good choice for an EDC pocket knife. I have several, and they just are not suitable for most normal daily knife tasks.
Caught a VIRUS...
Two old school favorites.
Top: Carbon steel slip joint Case Sodbuster,
Bottom: Kershaw Gentleman's Folder VG10 lockback.
I don't carry a high end pocketknife, preferring a Case Medium Stockman (6318) with stainless steel blades.

Checked out the Virus on the Piranna website after seeing your post. I may have become infected too. Non-serrated profile would work for me.

Sog Flash I and Spyderco H-1
I owned a half-dozen Piranha knives and my most common EDC is their P1 model. My wife likes her Fingerling but I find it too small. The aluminum construction makes them a light duty tool. If you're one who digs and pries with a knife then you'll want to pass on these.
My most recent is their PiranhaX, I don't care for it nearly as much as the P1.
Spyderco Delica 4 with VG-10. I have carried it everywhere for the last year and think I would buy another if lost.
The Delica 4 full flat ground is a nice slicer and real handy size.
CRK Umnumzaan and a GEC spearpoint Eureka Jack single blade in ebony.
I have 3 Kershaw 1600 Chives. I know where 2 are at, and the third is in limbo. Probably in the couch, or between the seats in the truck. When I get down to one, I start looking. Most of the time they reappear.
Nice and small, and take a pretty good edge. 30 bucks, so very disposable, made in USA.

I have found you can't beat Kershaw for inexpensive well made knives with good steel.
I like the Volt II and have several.

You can. Buck.
Huntsman22,
How do get in touch with Arrington to acquire a knife? I really like your three finger, looks good for bird, trout, deer etc.
Thanks
Bruce
Benchmade Mini-Griptilian
And this one, a Menefee 3 finger with elephant ivory.

Dunno....I ought it here on the classifieds. But, I'd bet Vince M., or one of the OK boys would know.
Benchmade Volli....sharp blade!
No "Auto's" allowed here in Michiganistan...
Currently, a Benchmade Ti Mini Monolock, m390. Holds a razor edge forever.
Also always have a Swiss Army Tinkerer on me.
Spyderco Delica or Gerber Applegate Switchblade.
A Case Large Stockman (Yellow/CV) in hip pocket, and Cold Steel Large Voyager in right tool pocket or Buck 110 on belt.
I also have a Griptillian, a yellow/CV Case mini sod, a couple SAKs and a Buck Large Stockman that occasionally get carried instead.
The selection of quality production knives and amazing customs leaves a guy with a wonderful first world problem.

That's being changed as we speak. The bill moved unanimously out of the Senate Judiciary Committee at the end of March. Full Senate vote, then send it over to the House. Hopefully the Gov will sign it. No reason not to.

CRK Sebenza 25 or a Spyderco Military, both dedicated Lefty's. I also have two glorious customs from LT Wright, both fixed blades: a Frontier Valley and a Great Plainsman. The FV has green linen micarata over orange liners and the GP has orange G10. I ordered both directly from LT Wright with kydex sheaths.
I also pocket carry an ESEE Izula or an Izula II if I'm feeling the need for a true pocket chopper, both with kydex sheaths from Azwelke and G10 scales from TKC. I've got a real thing for smalll-bladed (2-3") fixed-blade knives.
When I wear a suit, which is daily, my gentleman's knife is a Case Russlock in unobtanium Orange G10. I'll have to get some photos up of my carry rotation soon!

I used to carry a Buck 112 years ago, but after a while, decided it was a little too heavy. Went thru several others before going with the Kershaw Whirlwind (1560) for many years and really liked it. I later thought better of going into Canada and several other states with an assisted-opening knife as a truck driver.
I was looking for a cheap knife to throw in my cars' glove boxes and a backpack in the rare event I forgot mine or needed a backup. I ended up with a Kershaw Half Ton (1445) that I can still buy for $6.99. I ended up liking it so much that it has become my EDC knife. I don't like pocket clips after losing a pager years ago in the brush (as a forester then) when the brush unhooked it from my pocket. Haven't trusted pocket clips since, so I remove them from any knife I own. I played with a Kershaw Injection (3820) for awhile too, but ended up going back to my Half Ton.
My knives really do get used every day, so ignore the scuffs on the blades...
At work i usually have a Spyderco Endura (plain edge vg10) or another one with serrated edge....The rest of the time is a Spyderco Military in S30V plain edge or a Paramilitary 2 in S30V.....and now just got a Military in M4 steel....
If hunting i have a LT wright rogue river , or a Rosselli Hunter or a AA Forge Sloydsman......
Today it is this:
