Anyone have any experience with Rapid River Knifeworks products?
They are located in Michigan's upper Peninsula, my go to hunting knife for the last 10 years + has been a Marbles ( also made in the upper peninsula)
Looking for a replacement, was wondering about the quality of this company's product.
Thanks.
I bought one from them about 13 years ago. Nice knife, safe queen. Since then, in my opinion, they have gone downhill.
They tried expanding into folders that look pretty, but are made overseas. Owned one and it is junk. Threw it out when it fell apart, but the coffee cup I bought the same day from them is still holding up.
If you want a great knife, go South on US 2 about 10 miles and stop in the Knives Ship Free store (KSF). Tons of knives and a Bark River Knife dealer. (they sell many brands) I'm a big BRK guy.
Mike, the owner of BRK, worked at Marbles many years ago before going on his own. They make all there knives right down the road from KSF.
I have a couple Marbles blades that are from before their plunge to china and downhill.
These blades were never assembled and will have some of my "custom" hand grinding.
Blades were from Marbles to their outsource grinder from just before they pooped on their US suppliers.

I might be able to replace your tired Mables with near exact same blade if interested.
