Had the opportunity to attend my 3rd annual 24hourCampfire Hog Hunt in Crystal City Texas a week ago last Wednesday thru Sunday. Dan DeGeorge (DVD George), after hunting for this Oryx off and on for 3 days, was able to seal the deal Saturday eve. It measured 45". A trophy for sure.

The goddess of the hunt favored me and I was able to bring a hindquarter home with me.

I had not employed this Menefee Tanto before and thought it might work fine as a "boner".

It did! Made short work of that hindquarter.

Hey Gee, I learned a little trick that really helps, up here usually when we are cutting meat it's cold as hell and damn near frozen , well those kevlar gloves that they sell for cleaning fish work fantastic, they keep the meat off your hands and also prevents nasty slices in the trigger fingers as well. And when your finished, simply toss it in the dishwasher and your good to go. Nice meat !
