I have recently been on a guarded knife kick for hunting. I've owned and sold quite a few, but I think I've found my favorite. The Pathfinder by Wayne Hendrix is perfect for me in shape and size. The fit and finish is spot on and it's built with premium materials. Blade is ATS 34 with stainless guard and micarta slabs. Sheath is basic but well built and has great retention. Now I just have to wait for deer season...

OAL: 8"
Blade length: 3-4/4"
Edge length: 3-3/8"

Eventually I'll have guarded knives by Wayne in my inventory. Wayne knows his stuff, worked for George Herron for years. His knives are great tools. Blades are heat treated in a vacuum oven
George Herron had some classy lines. And so does his understudy.

I'm guessing not - the Pathfinder was my first Hendrix and I had to have another wink
