Rounded handles that feel great in your hand . Tapered tangs ,ss fittings. Super heavy duty cowhide sheath ,Kydex too.
Vacuum heat treated ,hollow ground ss blades
These knives are hollow ground thin & come sharp. They will hone out to very sharp. If you want to get one and want me to tune the edge up for you, just let me know . I'll be getting other models too. Thank You ,-Vince

I tried, but the one I wanted is sold.

PS: Your website sucks a little. I go to say Fixed Blades, then Wayne Hendrix, then the list of knives, but I can see them all as the don't all fit on the screen and the drop down doesn't scroll.

So know I have to stop that, and scroll my screen down, so Fixed Blades is right at the top of the screen, then go through all the gyrations again.

Steelhead what device are you viewing from ?
I just received a #11 from Vince. I've owned a lot of handmade knives, I can say you will not find a higher quality knife at this price range.

Very nice blades....

The first two just look like they would feel perfectly natural in a persons hand!
Course I am partial to the blade shape in the first one

Yeah that 14 S is a great feeling knife . Wayne is an experienced knife maker ,and a hunter & guide. So he knows how to build a great tool for the job !

I can see why. You really have to have one in hand to get an appreciation for it. I'll be using it on whitetails in a couple months.

Well Wayne says he sells more 11's than all others.

I discussed vaccuum oven heat treat . I was not aware of this until I heard Wayne say it,in one of our conversations. So I asked him about it.

He says in a commercial vaccuum oven, they can get the heat higher, and hold it longer,at a more consistent temp, than his HT oven in the shop. He prefers it over doing it in the shop.
Taking the air out of the oven does something with the carbon,in the steel. I already forgot if it holds or takes away. But Wayne says it's better ,and since he knows WTF he's doing,to me,that's good enough.

Very nice! What's the model to the right of the green handled one? The one with stag

I really don't even know. When I stop by and he pulls out the boxes of knives, I'am like a kid in a candy store. LOL
I would be too!

Wayne makes great knives. I have three of his. A model 10, a model 11 and I believe a model 12.

All great knives and like it was said above you can't buy one with this quality for less money that I know of.

Those are great looking designs. These ever come in something other than 440C?

Wayne uses ATS-34 and at one point I was getting his basic work knives like these in Sandvik 12c27

I guess it's all about availability & price
Posted By: MOGC Re: Wayne Hendrix Knives - 08/03/18
ATS-34 is good steel...

You can certainly see the Herron influence in Waynes knives. I have quite a few of both makers, and they are just beautiful knives. Russ

Wayne apprenticed under George Herron.

I really like the look of those model 11's and I bet they feel good . . . great in the hand!
Posted By: rjpeacock Re: Wayne Hendrix Knives - 08/12/18
Yes, I know he did. George was a friend and we shot quite a few Prairie Dogs together. George was and Miss Barbara are two of the most wonderful people I have had the privilege of knowing. Russ
