the other day, I picked up a good deal on a Spyderco Puukko. S30V steel, G10 handle and a dangler sheath. I have wanted one for ages. Full scandi grind. I have a few other fixed blades from Spyderco. All are very high quality, and perform well.

I've had my eye on the fixed blade Spyderco that is the right-most knife in the pix above for a couple years at my LGS. I keep hoping they will put it on sale!

GW, that is the Serata model. it's cast 440C steel, and performs far better than the regular forged 440C.

that Bob Lum is a beauty!

Great looking knife, Sam.

Spyderco has some interesting designs. Some are just way out there to my eye and not my cup of tea. On the other hand the company has some really useful designs that fit and work so well. Spyderco uses good to great materials in their knives and executes the production darned near flawlessly. My favorite all around modern style one hand folder is the PM2. That is a working wonder of a knife.

Don't judge a Spiderco by looks. They aren't in the "look at my pretty knife" business.
Pick one up. Hold it like you are using it. Choke up, like you are doing something that requires precision.
Now, you will probably like it.

The few people who get to use my Stretch comment on how it feels in the end.

Never cared much for Spyderco knives until I owned one.

Now it’s by far my favorite knife. No clue if they are all made equal, but my SS Delica is a fine knife and easily my favorite folder. Love the VG10.

Recently picked up my first Spyderco fixed blade to go along with my folders. Thought the 7" kitchen knife was a little pricey at first, but picked one up when they discontinued them and blew them out cheap. Nice knives, the S110V Military is usually serving pocket duty when I'm hunting.

Hoping to see CPM M4 reach wider use - the Gayle Bradley is superb! Also highly impressed with CPM M4 in my Bark River Gunny Sidekick. Best hard use steel currently available in my opinion.

Their kitchen knives are great. Wouldn’t mind a Jumpmaster.

Anybody know why select Randal’s are on Spyderco’s website?

I have 1 Spyderco fixed blade. A Bill Moran drop point with VG10 steel. Really like it. Useful size and design. Good steel.

I agree on the kitchen knife. Gave my wife one last year for Christmas and it's her favorite knife - by far. She hides it so no else can use it. LOL.

The jumpmaster is cool too. Their H1 steel version would make an awesome dive knife.
I just picked up a Moran drop point. I'm pretty impressed so far

I like em. Thin and light. IMO, perfect size for skinning and quartering a deer. Amd price isn’t too bad.

Sam,

I realize that handle is probably VERY comfortable and utilitarian, especially for your paws, but i’m Just not a fan.

Now the ones on either side of that in your second photo are more my cup of tea.

Sure enjoy your posts.
