This old knife belonged to my Grandfather and is likely around 100 years old. It may have been made from a file, it's pretty thick on the back side. The balance is for crap, and I'm not sure what it's good for, but it belonged to my Grandfather, who died 21 years before I was born, so I've been waiting about 50 years to get my grubby paws on it. (Hatchet in the back was also my Grandfather's, recently restored by our own Talus in Arizona.)

They look great. Jeff has a passion for them, and does a wonderful job.

Very nice, I know you are proud of that pair of cutting tools! I have one of my Granddad's pocketknives but it is from the mid-1960's - still mighty glad to own it.
I still have my Grandpa's hatchet too, just like yours but in it's original form. I used it a few weeks ago to clear shooting lanes for a deer blind. Tried sharpening it with a file and it the steel was so hard the file wouldn't cut it. Cool to know his hands were on it years ago...

I have my grandfathers Marbles knife. I stopped by there shop years ago in Gladstone MI and they said it was made during the war. Gramps died in 52 the same year I came along so it's nice to have it.
Nice, I have my grandfather's Remington bullet knife...
