This is a hunting knife that was made a couple of years ago for a University of Florida Alum. The blade is CPM 3V. I don't think that Florida beating Georgia that year would have made that guy any happier...
That is some good file work. I can see why your friend was pleased.
That’s real nice.
remember the hours it took?

We try not to add up the hours....Probably wouldn't do another one if we knew actually how many hours it took to carve it.
that is cool . a fine job you did
44mc, my brother Charlie actually made that one. We are partners in Twin Blades and both of us do the carving. We have done several knives with the alligator. I made the prototype of the first one out of blood wood and Charlie transferred the design to the steel.
When I said file work, that is actually correct since the carving/engraving tools we use on steel are made from used files.
Between your file work and carved handles, your knives are art pieces.
Ho leee, nice is an under statement!!! 🐾👣🐾👣🇨🇦
Thanks for the comments guys. We are like a lot of makers, most of what we make are light weight hunters and fishing knife sets, but these knives with carvings, whether on the handle, blade or both are what we love to do! Period knives are kind of fun too!
A++ Harry. Beautiful work.
