Having trouble finding deer bags...A. long enough to close tightly over entire carcass B. allows air circulation but stout enough to last a washing or two (I use 'em when butchering lambs too)
Any recommendations for bags that can be bought online?
Had a set of bags made for us many years ago where we bought our tents. They were canvas, and lasted years if taken care of . I haven't used game bags since I moved from the mountains so am not much help with what is out there today. Just found a site , montanacanvas.com. Sorry, I can't link you to it!
Thanks for the reply, I have some old elk bags like yours but in the brutal heat in the afternoon here in Commiefornia, you need a lot of air circulation to form a hard crust, evaporation on the meat surface is what chills the carcass in 90 deg heat.
