My 1st shoulder mount in over 25yrs ... typically do the euro skull mounts ... but I felt this ol boy was deserving of a good wall pedestal mount! I watched this guy from my house for a few years and even have some good footage of him in my plots and fields. It was nice to finally catch up with him this past Fall and take him off my farm. Makes the hard work and effort of managing my place for better hunting all worth it!

That's a cool whitetail, love ow he forks off the G-2's like a muley \blacktail. Great buck. Grats.

SK, from my history with him and his body weight and total mass throughout his antlers I’m aging him at 5 1/2yrs minimum could have possibly been a 6 1/2 also but I’m betting on 5 1/2.

I had someone tell me it’s from a larvae burying itself in the summer months when he was soft horned and possibly laying an egg in it but who really knows 🤷‍♂️

That sort of mass can only come with age.

Pretty sure it’s a McKenzie form and it’s considered a semi-sneak wall pedestal. Taxidermist did an outstanding job on him ... I wish I had more animals to take to him! Lol
